Rose Theatre, Kingston: Playwright Harley Granville-Barker wrote just six plays, including The Voysey Inheritance and Waste that have been revived within the last few years by the National and Almeida respectively, before he married an heiress and retired by the age of 40. But his legacy lives on, not least in the National Theatre that he first provided the blueprint for establishing.
