Royal Opera House: From book to opera and from movie to ballet, Abbe Prevost's Manon Lescaut has emerged in many different forms. Kenneth MacMillan's 1974 ballet used a potpourri of Massenet's works for the score (though not, ironically, from the composer's Manon opera) that has been amended and streamlined for the current production.
