(Evening Standard Entertainment) - 5 months, 1 week agoOn paper, this performance of Handel's Messiah looked promising: the Academy of Ancient Music (orchestra and chorus, just 21 performers in each, directed from the harpsichord by Richard Egarr) was pared to the bone and the four soloists were all well versed in their Handel.
