Not only is it the first story ballet commissioned by the current team at Sadler's Wells, but it also includes a new score by the electro-pop duo Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, aka the Pet Shop Boys, plus new choreography by Javier de Frutos, and a leading role for the former Royal Ballet principal Ivan Putrov who left Covent Garden at the age of 29 to take part in the production.
