But now, transfusing new blood into the husk where the old Shaw Theatre once stood comes the Empire. And, as with a visit to any new project, everyone wonders whether those promises, in this case from director Daljinder Singh to bring a "spiky, sparky, edgy vibe" to the postcode, will be met.
