Gate, London: Billed as a new version of Federico Garcia Lorca's play by Anthony Weigh, this feels more like a new work that draws inspiration from Lorca's tragic poem. There is no chorus, only the mute and constant presence of a watchful young boy. Weigh's language is often jagged, with its own rough poetry, and he adds backstory in a - not always wholly successful - attempt to give the characters greater psychological depth.
